KALS began its life as a small Christian primary school but, after over 30 years in the community, has now grown to be a well-established area school for Years 1–13 students, offering quality God-honouring education right here in the Far North.  

We offer a number of subjects at level 3 NCEA (Year 13), which includes core subjects such as English, Physical Education, Mathematics, and the Sciences, as well as more specialist subjects such as Design Technology, Visual Art, Music, and ITC. In addition to this, the school can access a wide range of different senior secondary courses such as Automotive Mechanics, Carpentry, Hospitality, and Barista through external providers and can also offer many other courses as needed through video conferencing and online learning facilities.

The school is proud of its strong cultural flavour and heritage.  We love the beautiful mix of Christianity and Te Ao Maori as it is who we are.  Nau mai, haere mai!
